MAOF has been selected as the non-profit beneficiary for Del Rey Marketing’s long-running Whittier Narrows Cinco de Mayo festival. The popular community event attracts more than 150,000 Angelenos every year. Del Rey Marketing will donate a portion of the event proceeds to MAOF, bringing much needed revenue to the organization’s general fund and allowing it to continue to offer crucial programs and resources. “We are very pleased to collaborate with Del Rey Marketing on such important and significant events. We also look forward to using the festival to inform attendees on the community services we offer,” said MAOF President Martin Castro.
The Cinco de Mayo music festival will take place on Sunday, May 4th and will feature live performances by Horoscopos De Durango, Grupo 360, Javier Rosas, Juan Rivera, Chino Aguirre, Cheyo Carrillo, Korina Lopez, Jose Ortega, and La Adictiva San Jose de Mesillas. Event tickets are available at MAOF offices in Montebello, Commerce, and Huntington Park.
Attendees are encouraged to visit a new feature of the Festival, Covered California’s Health Pavilion, a unique exhibit area featuring an interactive zone for kids, education materials, free health screenings, and nutrition samples and giveaways.
