In the space provided for work experience please be sure to give the name of each employer, your job title, beginning and ending dates, and salary history. If additional space is needed to list job experience, attach a second sheet to your application. This sheet must be in the same format as shown on the job application. "Work Experience" section (title, salary, employer, dates, etc.)

In order for your application to be accepted, you must provide the following documents:

  • Transcripts are REQUIRED when applying for the MAOF Head Start, Child Care and Pre-School programs,
  • Transcripts must also be submitted for any position that requires a Bachelor's degree or higher REQUIRED,
  • If applying for the position of Associate Teacher, Teacher, Head Teacher or Site Supervisor a copy of the Permit from the Commission of Teacher Credentialing is REQUIRED,

Job Openings:

Home Visitor for the Head Start Program

General Purpose:

A staff person who works with the parents and children within the family home environment. Works on a one to one basis with the primary caregiver of the child.

 

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

An AA degree in a subject matter related to early childhood education and/or child development from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of 24 units in Child Development.

A California Child Development Teacher Permit

Minimum of 2 years paid experience working with preschool children ages 3-5.

Must possess a vehicle and have a valid California Driver’s License and current Car Insurance

Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.

 

Responsibilities:

Provide children with a learning environment, which will help them, develop socially, intellectually, physically, and emotionally in a manner appropriate to their age and stage of development. Provide pre-school education in home of 10 families.

To integrate the educational aspects of the various Head Start components into the Home Base Curriculum.

Involve parents in the educational activities of the program.

To increase parents knowledge, understanding, skills and experiences in child growth and development

Temporary Teacher Assistant—Holmes Child Care

General Purpose:

To assist in the instruction and care of the children and to provide for adequate adult supervision of children.

 

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Six (6) units in Early Childhood Development.

Minimum of 1 year paid experience working with pre-school children.

Must pass pre-employment Health Screening.

Bilingual (Spanish / English) required.

 

Responsibilities:

Assists teacher in the implementation of safety rules and supervises the children’s activities in order to insure their safety.

Homemaker-Ontario Child Care

General Purpose:

To plan and prepare meals for the children, as stated in the Child Care/Pre-school nutrition guidelines.

 

Requirements:

Fluent English/Spanish preferred

Love of children and ability to work with people harmoniously.

Plan well with minimum supervision.

Negative T.B. test or X-rays.

Must be fingerprinted (State law) and cleared.

 

Responsibilities

On a daily basis serves lunch to children, making preparations as necessary.

Will prepare snacks.

Prepares nutrition reports on a monthly basis.

Maintain inventory of food and kitchen supplies, and as assigned, makes timely requests for order, reorder of food and supplies.

Retrieves, washes, and disinfects dishes, utensils, and other items used in serving and preparing food.

Keeps kitchen in a clean and sanitary condition.

Attends staff meetings as assigned.

Attends child care classes or seminars conducted at MAOF or elsewhere as assigned and necessary to have effective nutrition activities and career advancement.

Performs other light housekeeping as required.

Assists in classroom activities as assigned by the Site Supervisor

As assigned, carries out any other activities necessary for the proper implementation of MAOF’s programs.

Site Supervisor-Rancho Cucamonga Child Care

General Purpose:

To supervise and operate a childcare and development center insuring a quality program which meets contractual and MAOF standards and requirement.

 

Requirements:

AA degree in child development or related field. Bachelor Degree preferred.

Must posses a valid Site Supervisor Permit from the Commission of Teacher Credential.

Previous pre-school and/or child care experience.

One to two years supervisory experience.

Must have own transportation, valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance.

Bilingual (Spanish / English) required.

 

Responsibilities:

Under the direction of the Program Director and/or Staff Development Supervisor assumes full responsibility for the supervision and direction of the teaching and center staff. Is responsible for the implementation of the program curriculum within the terms of the contractual commitment and guidelines. Works closely with the staff development coordinator and the program assistant.

Supervises, guides, and instructs staff in day to day operation of the child care center, in the implementation of contractual commitments through planned programs activities, and in meeting the needs of the children (groups and individuals).

Schedules and conducts meetings with center staff and interfaces with parents.

Recruitment and enrollment of families to maintain center capacity

Meets with parents of children enrolling in the program to ensure that each child’s file is in an orderly, correct and complete manner

Determine reasons for unreported and excessive absences including placing daily call to the homes of absent children

Performs related duties as assigned.

 Salary: $1683.93 semi-monthly. Location: Rancho Cucamonga. Temporary position. Closing date: March 12, 2010



Part Time Teacher Assistant—Rancho Cucamonga Child Care

General Purpose:

Nutrition Coordinator (RD)

General Purpose:

The Nutrition Coordinator (RD) has responsibility for planning and implementing the nutrition education program of the delegate agency Head Start/State Preschool operation.

 

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED.

Graduated from an accredited Dietician Internship program

Current American Dietetic Association Registration

A minimum of two years experience in dietetics preferred

A minimum of two year experience providing training for staff, families and children

Must possess a vehicle and have a valid California driver’s license and current car insurance

Bilingual (Spanish/English) highly preferred.

 

Responsibilities:

Prepare and update the nutrition services plan

Provide menu planning and review

Works with outside vendors to purchase food products and supplies

Assess and evaluate nutrition needs of children and their families in the home as well as the school

Interpret nutrition needs to other Head Start personnel and the community at large

Provide nutrition education to children and teaching staff at the sites

Conduct in-service training on nutrition for all staff

Conduct nutrition education training for parents

Performs related duties as assigned.

General Purpose:

To assist in the instruction and care of the children and to provide for adequate adult supervision of children.
