Job Summary

To provide direct care, guidance, and instruction to the children of the MAOF Child Care and Development Centers. To instruct children in activities designed to promote social, physical,and intellectual growth that stimulates learning, according to the developmental stages of the children.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must possess a valid Teacher Permit from the CCTC.
  • One(1) year of classroom paid experience or volunteer experience working in a pre-school/childcare setting, preferred.
  • Ability to communicate, both oral and written.
  • Ability to speak,read and write English well enough to understand and be understood by others.
  • Ability to relate to diverse groups of people including low-income families.
  • Sensitive to others needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Sincere commitment to providing services to children and the community.
  • Ability to assess and respond quickly to varied situations.
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) required.
