Job Summary
Is responsible for maintaining meals in insulated carriers at all times and to have cold items packed in ice to maintain proper holding temperatures; will deliver meals within the two-hour holding period to the seniors. Must be courteous, patient, and conscientious in all dealing with program participants.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s License and a good driving record.
  • Experience working as a driver or with senior citizens preferred.
  • Experience working with the senior population is highly desirable.
  • Must possess a Post process permit with the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation
  • Must provide a current DMV printout and must be submitted with employment application.
  • Ability to speak read and write English well enough to understand and be understood by others.

Special Qualifications

  • Must meet State health requirements including passing a physical examination as a condition of employment, and must provide verification of a TB clearance at the time of employment.
  • Must be fingerprinted and cleared through the Justice Department. Fingerprints clearance must be active and on file with the Justice Department.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, have use of a motor vehicle and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance.

Supervisor – Child Care Program (Kern County)

Job Summary
Supervise and operate a pre-school or a childcare and development center insuring that a quality program which meets contractual and MAOF standards and requirements, is provided.

Qualifications

  • Associates/Bachelor’s or advanced degree in early childhood education or child development: or an
  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 24 Early Childhood Education coursework unit’s equivalent to a major relating to early childhood education.
  • Valid Site Supervisor Permit from the CA Commission of Teacher Credential.
  • Must have Infant and Toddler units.
  • Minimum of one (1) year direct experience working with young children, 3-5 years’
    experience working in a pre-school/child care setting.
  • Minimum five (5) years of progressively more responsible management experience.
  • Knowledge of Child Care Licensing Regulations and best practices related to early childhood education.

Special Qualifications

  • Must meet State health requirements: Must submit to a pre-employment physical examination and Tuberculosis (TB) clearance at the time of employment, to be renewed every four years.
  • Must submit to a flu vaccine once a year.
  • Must provide vaccination records for influenza, pertussis and measles, at the time of employment.
  • Criminal Records (e.g. Livescan Fingerprinting), Child Abuse Index, Sexual Offender Registry. Must be finger printed and cleared through the Justice Department. Fingerprints clearance must be active and on file with the Justice Department.
  • Must be 18 years of age to apply.
  • Must have a valid California driver’s license, have use of a motor vehicle and provide evidence of automobile liability insurance.
  • Educational transcripts are required.

Job Summary
Responsible to provide professional social services work to each senior of the senior services program. Will evaluate and assess needs; develop, maintain and monitor client service and care plans; coordinate nutrition and support services program; and monitor placement and services provided. Will be required to drive and cover shifts, as assigned. May exercise supervision of the food delivery driver, as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in gerontology, psychology, social science or related field preferred OR a satisfactory equivalent combination of education, experience and training.
  • Minimum of three (3) year work experience in the provision of social services to the elderly.
  • Ability to work with people on a one-to-one basis.
  • Establish a working relationship with client to seek positive resolutions to their specific needs.
  • Ability to work independently and possess excellent organizational skills.
  • Computer skills: Microsoft office, excel, power point and word required.
  • Flexible work hours; requires some weekend work.

Program Assistant/Floater

Job Summary
Assist to deliver meals to seniors on a daily basis in the MAOF designated areas, as assigned; will be required to float and provide coverage at designated dining sites and assist with the preparation of the site for meal service. Will be required to do program outreach and maintain participants advised of services and program; and will maintain program participants enrolled, as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working as a driver or with senior citizens preferred.
  • Experience working with the senior population is highly desirable.
  • Must enjoy working with elders. Knowledge of GPS and area helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass Food Handler Certificate.
  • Must provide a current DMV printout and must be submitted with employment application.
  • Ability to speak read and write English well enough to understand and be understood by others.
